Celebrating the Silver Jubilee year in 2001, the Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, has been well known as an outstanding institution imparting high quality education in Ayurveda. This prestigious college conducts a course leading to award of Bachelor's Degree in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B A M S). This five and half years course including one year of house surgency is recognised by Central Council of Indian Medicine and successful candidates are eligible to get "A" class registration enabling them to practice Ayurveda anywhere in this country. Candidates are admitted to this course based on their performance in an entrance examination conducted by the Government of Kerala. A 150- bedded hospital with all required facilities is attached to this college for providing the best practical exposure to the students. The total number of seat is limited to forty, out of which five are reserved for the management. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are provided in the college campus. With the commencement of post graduate courses in Ayurveda, this institution is poised to take a giant leap in its stride for accomplishing the goal of providing the best Ayurvedic practitioners to the world.
