Duration 3 Years ( 6 Semesters ) Admission Eligibility for Admission Pass in all subjects in the first attempt in First Class in BSc/ BCom /BTech of the University of Calicut with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects of study or equivalent examination recognized by the University of Calicut. Selection Selection of candidates to all seats will be made on the basis of the rank obtained in an entrance test. Fees Tuition Fee Rs.4,000/Year Degree Requirements Scheme of Examination A candidate will be permitted
to appear at the semester examination only if, he/she maintains not
less than 80% of attendance in each subject of study in the semester,
his/her progress is satisfactory in the sessional assessment in each
subject and Regular semester examinations will be conducted for all subjects at the end of each semester. For the first, third and fifth semesters the examination shall be conducted and result announced by the college, and the marks reported to the University. The examinations for the second, fourth and sixth semesters shall be conducted by the Calicut University. Five bound copies of the project report must be submitted at the end of the sixth semester through the Head of the Department to the University. The University will issue the final mark list showing the marks obtained in all the six semesters. Supplementary examinations for first, third and fifth semesters will be held soon after the publication of respective results and before the commencement of the next semester. Supplementary examinations for second and fourth semester will be conducted by the University within a period of 3 weeks from the publication of the respective results. A candidate shall be required to complete the course and pass all the examination within a period of five years after joining the degree course. Passing Requirements A candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination in any subject if he/she secures not less than 50% of the total prescribed maximum marks for the sessional and the semester examination put together and not less than 40% of the total prescribed maximum marks in the semester examination of that subject. Candidate failing in any subject in the semester examinations may appear for the supplementary/regular semester examinations conducted in the next session by the College/University. A candidate who does not register for all examinations for the regular course at the end of the semester shall not be permitted to attend the next semester. A candidate shall be permitted
to attend the, second semester only if he/she has passed in all the
subjects of the first semester. A candidate must pass all subjects of the first and second semesters in the three consecutive examinations conducted for the same. If he/she does not pass in all subjects in the three consecutive examinations held he/she shall discontinue the course. A candidate failing in the project work shall submit a revised or fresh project report after a period of at least 3 months from the viva-voce examination. The revised report will be examined afresh. |
